I’m planning a 10-day solo trip to South Korea this August, mainly covering Seoul, Busan, and maybe a quieter region or Jeju Island. I’d love to hear from other solo women who’ve been recently: *Did you feel safe walking around, especially at night? *How easy is it to get around solo using public transportation? *Any neighborhoods you'd recommend staying in (or avoiding)? *I’ve read about the hidden camera issue—should I be worried? *Is nightlife okay to explore solo, or better to skip?
Also—how bad is the summer in August? I’ve heard it can be hot and humid—does it affect sightseeing or travel plans? Any other tips on what to pack, how to dress, or must-see spots are super welcome! 💛

I felt safe the entire time and never got close to having any issues, however the usual applies as everywhere else: don‘t go down sketchy alleys at night, don‘t leave your drink out of your sight / don‘t accept free drinks from random strangers, etc.
IslaStacks • 7mo ago I've taken 4 solo trips to South Korea. It was the safest I've ever felt in my entire life. No worries about gun violence or people fighting. Just a sense of peace.
Of course, there is crime but no need to constantly look over your shoulder. You will love it. Enjoy!! And I can’t speak for summer in August but rn in July I’m melting, everyone is melting, everyone is dripping in puddles of their own sweat and excusing the sweat smell because there’s no getting around it [deleted] • 7mo ago are you a korean haha More replies Ok_Sir_7220 • 7mo ago Very safe. I feel safe when I travel there solo or with my daughter. We don't go clubbing or dri
